Will Dixon

“Dog” Will Dixon has been involved with the martial arts for more than 20 years.  His focus is on teaching a well rounded self-defense system to men and women of all skill levels.

Will is a native Memphian who attended the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, where he earned a BFA in Illustration.

Professionally, he published a four-book series entitled “Soul of a Samurai©” through Image Comics®, and is currently the Graphic Designer for the Sharpe Group in Memphis.

Will started training locally in the Memphis Kali Group under Guro Robin Schermerhorn  in 1996.  Since then, he has studied Inosanto Blend Kali/Silat with Guro Dan Inosanto, Silat Suffian Bela Diri with Maul Mornie, Close Quarter Combat (SFC Combatives) with W. Hock Hochheim, Pekiti Tirsia Kali Systems with Tuhon Leslie Buck Jr. and Dog Brothers Martial Arts under Guro Marc “Crafty Dog” Denny, Eric “Top Dog Knaus and Benjamin “Lonely Dog” Rittener on numerous occasions. He is a two-stripe Blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Mike Hooker, a Roy Dean Affiliate.  He has also trained basic Essential Pistol Skills and Shotgun under Will Dougan at Golden Triangle Defensive Tactics (Top Gun Memphis).

He is a member of the Dog Brothers Tribe, and is a recognized Brown Tag (Level 3) Instructor in Dog Brothers Martial Arts.
